Empire VIP events landing page

Skills: User research, Figma, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap4, Javascript(vanilla), Google Analytics
Timeline: 1 month

Objective:

To create a landing page with two user journeys. One journey would be for non-VIP members to promote purchasing a VIP subscription in order to sign up to the next event and the other journey for existing VIP members to sign in and register their interest in the event.

Step 1. Gather the requirements from the marketing team

I intially had a meeting with the marketing team to find out how the VIP events, which were held in central London with such actors and directors like John Favreau, could help to improve the number of subscriptions sold to non-VIP users. There was also a need for existing VIP members to be able to access the next events ticket information in a more accessible way, such as when the date was arranged for and the time, and the members site was seen to be a perfect way of promoting them. The users were brought to the events page through advertising in the magazine and social media.

Step 2. Design stage

Designs were created in Figma and had various iterations. The wording and the imagery on the landing page had to be brand specific and therefore there were numerous changes as well as other teams in the business (for example the Digital Optimisation team) also needed to agree to the design.

Step 3. Creating the landing page

I made the page in WordPress and coded it with front end languages:

HTML5 | CSS3 | JavaScript | Bootstrap4

I then rigorously tested each user journey to make sure the page looked and functioned correctly.

Step 4. Results

After placing the landing page live, there was an increase of users who purchased VIP subscriptions and the user research, which I completed afterward the page went live, indicated there was a greater satisfaction of the journey the VIP members took to register their interest in the next event.
